$10,000 diamond-studded martini will wait at the Blue Bar only if a 3 day notice period is given to NYC’s Algonquin Hotel. It has been told by a spokesperson to Eater that the bar and hotel tied up with an in-house jeweler to obtain the customizable diamond, which has to be placed within the cocktail.
A few months back Eater Vegas reported the XS Nightclub at Encore Las Vegas has its own $10,000 drink, the Ono. It is contains a combination of Charles Heidsieck Champagne Charlie 1981 and Louis XIII de Remy Martin Black Pearl. It comes along with a silver cufflinks for men and not too shabby 18K white-gold chain with a black pearl pendant for woman.
Fortress Stilt Fisherman Indulgence Dessert can be best described as more of “a challenge for those adventurous as heart” and is offered by the Fortress Resort & Spa in Sri Lanka. The Fortress Stilt Fisherman Indulgence Dessert is made with gold leaf Italian cassata, flavored with fruit-infused Irish cream. At the base there is a Dom Perignon champagne sabayon and a handmade chocolate made in the shape of a local fisherman and fruit compote. The world’s most expensive dessert title was won by Chef Marc Guibert of the Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel in England’s Lake District in late 2011. For a chocolate pudding that costs £22,000 ($34,531). The pudding constitutes high-end chocolate, gold leaf, champagne, caviar and a diamond and looks like the shape of a Faberge egg. It is laced with edible gold and layered with champagne jelly. To have this pudding it must be ordered 2 weeks in advance. So far only one egg has been sold by Guibert.
Strawberries Arnaud’s are mainly grown in New Orleans and is no longer offered at $1.4 million. The dessert costs $3.95 million now. Katy who is the co-owner tells that the old New Orleans restaurant which was opened in partnership with MS Rau made a proposal package that included their signature Strawberries Arnaud dessert and a diamond ring. While the original 4.71 carat ring is not available now, it has been replaced with a 7.09 carat pink diamond to accompany the dish of strawberries served in a marinade bowl, red wine, spices with vanilla ice cream.
